Privacy Policy – NavTech Pvt Ltd

1. Who we are

NavTech Pvt Ltd (“NavTech”, “we”, “us”) of 62/12 Temple Road, Kottawa 10230, Sri Lanka, operates the website navtech.com.lk and sells the NavTech planned maintenance system. 2. What information we collect

Request and order forms: your name, company, work e-mail, country, number and type of vessels, package and support preferences, and any message you write.
E-mail and WhatsApp: your contact details and the content of messages you send us.
Orders and payments: the details needed to issue a quotation and confirm your payment. We do not take card payments on this website, and we do not collect card numbers through the forms.
Technical data: our hosting provider may keep basic server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and operation.

3. How we use it

To reply to your request and send you a package price.
To confirm payment, deliver NavTech and send your installation guide and vessel keys.
To provide guidance and improvements if you take a monthly plan.
To keep records required for accounting, tax and legal reasons.
To protect the website and our business from misuse.

We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing e-mails unless you ask for them.

4. Why we may use it

We use your information because you ask us to (responding to your request and delivering your order), because we must (legal and accounting obligations), and for our legitimate interest in running and securing our business. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

5. Who processes it for us

Netlify hosts this website and receives the form submissions. It may process data in countries outside Sri Lanka.
Our e-mail provider handles the e-mails we send and receive.
WhatsApp (Meta) handles messages if you contact us there; its own privacy policy applies.
Banks or payment providers handle payments you make to us.

We share information with authorities only when the law requires it.

6. Your vessel data and the NavTech software

The NavTech ship application runs on your own computers, and its data is stored there. The NavTech Shore Server runs on your own computer or server. We do not receive your maintenance, stock, certificate or crew data unless you choose to send us a backup or file, for example when asking for guidance. Any such file is used only to help you and is deleted when no longer needed.

7. Cookies and tracking

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies and does not currently use analytics. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy.

8. How long we keep information

We keep enquiry and order information only as long as needed to deal with your request, deliver and support your order, and meet legal and accounting requirements. After that we delete or anonymise it.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS on this website and restricted access to our mailboxes and devices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022, you may ask us to give you access to your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or withdraw your consent. 11. Children

Our website and software are for business use and are not directed at children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
